InCharge Black Office Flex
The InCharge Black Office Flex has many of the same properties as the InCharge Black Office model, but also features a unique property that is not immediately obvious. The seat is flexible and able to tilt 11° in all directions. This feature forces you to sit with an actively tight core, as it challenges your muscles and balance point.
The flexible seat requires a little getting used to, as it's an alternative way of sitting. It is similar to sitting on a Pilates chair, but with a stable support that doesn't roll away. Once your body has become used to sitting on the chair, you'll notice how much your stabilising and balancing muscles around your entire core have to work to keep a strong back and well-balanced core. You will in fact be training your body while sitting on the chair.
The original InCharge chair was designed by Nanna Ditzel in 1993. It has a functional and timeless design for the current and future work place with a focus on body strength.
The philosophy behind Nanna Ditzel's design is based on human anatomy and keeping the body strong and active through a naturally balanced sitting posture.
The InCharge Black Office Flex does not take up much space and fits perfectly into any office environment or home where design, aesthetics and functionality are a high priority.
The seat is pelvis-shaped. You will notice how much easier it is to keep your back straight compared with a conventional work chair. Initially, you may be more aware of the shape of the front of the chair, which prevents you from sliding off, but you'll soon get used to it.
When you sit on an InCharge Black Office Flex, you need an open angle in your hip joints and you need to be able to keep your feet flat on the ground. It is worth changing the height of the chair throughout the day to vary your sitting posture. This is quick and easy thanks to the stepless height adjustment.
The InCharge Black Office Flex is available in a choice of three covers: Hallingdal wool from Kvadrat, Victory leather from Sørensen and Microfiber from Gabriel. Read more about all three fabrics under covers. It is possible to order other fabrics, but this involves a lead time of at least 6 weeks and an added cost of DKK 1000 excl. VAT.
This model has a black lacquer aluminium finish.
Hallingdal 65, is a wool material designed by Nanna Ditzel. It contains 70% wool and 30% viscose. We have chosen this wool as it is a very durable material that fits perfectly
to our chairs and which we can recommend to both the private and public sector.
Hallingdal 65 is EU Ecolabel, Greenguard Gold, HPD and EPD certified.
The cover can be washed on the wool program in the machine, but must be pulled into shape after washing and laid to dry on a towel, however, most stains can easily be removed with a good soap and a wrung out cloth.
Victory leather is a natural, soft and robust material that we can recommend for both the private and public sector.
Leather is easy to clean if you follow these instructions: Use a 1/2 deciliter of soap flakes for one liters of hot water. Whisk the soap flakes in the water. When the water becomes room temperature, the foam should be applied with a soft cloth. Use only the foam and avoid softening the leather. When the leather is dry, polish it with a soft, dry cotton cloth.
Comfort + is a soft and comfortable artificial leather material which is a bit reminiscent of suede. It contains 88% polyester and 12% polyurethane. We can recommend this material for all professions also at home. Comfort + is Oeko-Tex certified as it contains 37% recycled fibers.
The cover can be washed at 60 ° in the machine, with a shrinkage of 2%, however, most stains can be easily removed with soap and a wrung out cloth.
Which height should you choose?
The height of your chair should generally be based on your own height. For example, if you're a woman measuring 168 cm, we recommend a medium setting. Exceptions may of course apply depending on where and how you intend to use the chair. If in doubt about which height you need, please call us on tel.: 4675 0970 or write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The chart below shows you which chair heights we recommend for your height:
|Under 162 cm - Small||Under 170 cm - Small|
|160 - 173 cm - Medium||168 - 183 cm - Medium|
|Over 170 cm - High||Over 180 cm - High|
Remember you need to sit higher than on a regular chair with open angles at the hips and knees.
